Three generations · one doorway
The story
It began with a single roll of cloth and a corner of Bharathi Street. K. Gopalakrishna Bhat believed a mountain town deserved more than what was easy to carry up the ghats — so he carried better, and called it the complete family shop.
His son grew it the same way: slowly, by hand, one trusted weaver and one returning customer at a time. The saris got finer. The promise stayed the same.
Today the son and his family keep the shop — three generations behind the same wooden counter, on the same street, dressing the town's weddings and its ordinary mornings alike.
“Never sell a customer what you wouldn't take home.”
— the founder's one rule, still on the wall
